Itinerary

Missions trip to Southeastern France

Day 1 - Tuesday, March 18, 2025: Travel to Geneva

Take off on your journey to Albertville, France, as we depart from the United States. Get ready for an experience filled with purpose and adventure. We'll be traveling across the Atlantic, so make sure to rest up and prepare for the incredible days ahead!

Day 2 - Wednesday, March 19, 2025: Arrival in Albertville

Welcome to Europe! Upon arriving at the Geneva Airport, we'll drive through the picturesque landscapes of Switzerland and France, arriving in the charming town of Albertville. After checking into our hotel, we will take the evening to unwind and settle in, soaking up the local atmosphere and preparing for our mission work.

Day 3 - Thursday, March 20, 2025: Albertville

Our first day at the language school! We'll spend the morning and afternoon assisting with various tasks and engaging with students. In the evening, we'll have time to enjoy Albertville's quaint streets and local shops. This is a time when we get to be a light and example to those we come in contact with by handing out gospel literature.

Day 4 - Friday, March 21, 2025: Albertville and Annecy

After a fulfilling morning at the language school, we'll take a short trip to the stunning town of Annecy in the late afternoon and evening. Known as the "Venice of the Alps," Annecy offers charming canals, beautiful lakeside views, and vibrant markets. Spend the evening enjoying the scenery and interacting with locals.

Day 5 - Saturday, March 22, 2025: Albertville and Thônes Market

This morning, we will visit Thônes to experience the lively Saturday morning market. Explore the stalls filled with local produce, crafts, and delicacies. We will use this time to hand out gospel literature to folks as well! That afternoon, more rewarding work at the language school awaits as we spend time with the families and their children. We will help with various tasks around the schools (still TBD based on your skills and abilities that you bring).

Day 6 - Sunday, March 23, 2025: Albertville

Sunday is a special day. We'll attend a church service in French, joining a missionary family that has attended the school. The rest of the day is for rest and reflection. Use this time to relax and regroup for the following week.

Day 7 - Monday, March 24, 2025: Albertville and Chambéry

Our mission continues with a productive morning and afternoon at the school. Later, we'll visit the historic town of Chambéry, known for its medieval architecture and rich cultural heritage. Wander through its charming old town, visit the Château de Chambéry, and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Day 8 - Tuesday, March 25, 2025: Albertville and Cluses

This morning and early afternoon is dedicated to the language school. In the early evening, we’ll take a trip to Cluses, a charming town known for its watchmaking heritage. Explore the local museums and enjoy the scenic views. This will be another great time to connect with the locals and share gospel literature as we visit.

Day 9 - Wednesday, March 26, 2025: Albertville and Chamonix

We'll start the day with our usual mission work at the language school. In the late afternoon and evening, we'll head to Chamonix, a world-renowned destination nestled in the French Alps. Whether it's exploring the town's quaint streets or marveling at the majestic Mont Blanc, Chamonix promises an unforgettable experience. This will also open more opportunities to share truth with folks in the area as we give gospel literature to those with whom we come in contact.

Day 10 - Thursday, March 27, 2025: Albertville

Our last full day will be spent in Albertville, focusing on packing up and reflecting on our trip. Take this time to relax, share memories, and prepare for our departure.
