Destination Information
Group Size
This tour offers an intimate experience, limited to a maximum of 3 travelers plus your tour guide, for a total group size of 4 people.
Travel Documents
Ensure you have a valid passport. Most countries, including France, require your passport to be valid for at least six months after your return date and have at least two consecutive blank pages. US citizens do not need a visa for short stays in France. Detailed travel requirements will be provided after the final payment is received.
Air Travel Arrangements
Travelers are responsible for booking their own flights once the trip is confirmed and you receive a notification from SueQ Travel. Assistance with flight bookings is available if needed.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in the tour cost. It is your responsibility to choose the type and amount of coverage you need to protect your travel investment in case of cancellation, inability to complete the tour, or operational issues. Refer to SueQ Travel Terms & Conditions for details on payment procedures if the tour cannot operate. SueQ Travel is not licensed to sell travel insurance. Recommended providers include Allianz Travel Insurance and TravelGuard.
Luggage Guidelines
Travel light, as overpacking is a common regret among travelers. Bring one medium-sized piece of luggage and one personal item (e.g., backpack or purse). Airlines enforce their own baggage policies, and you are responsible for any fees. Be prepared to handle your luggage throughout the trip, as public transportation will be our main mode of travel. Paris accommodations typically have limited space for large amounts of luggage.
Fitness
This trip is ideal for travelers who enjoy being active. It involves a fair amount of walking, primarily through the city, navigating stairs, and using the metro system. Approximate walking distance: 4–6 miles per day. Be prepared for some uphill or uneven terrain while exploring the city’s attractions and neighborhoods.
Health Standards
France upholds excellent health and hygiene standards. No specific vaccinations are required, but ensure your routine immunizations are up to date.
Staying Connected
Your tour guide will carry a portable WiFi device for use when near the guide. If you require connectivity beyond that, check with your cell phone provider about international plans, as most offer flat daily rates. Reduce data usage by using WiFi hotspots and communication apps like WhatsApp. Familiarize yourself with making international calls before departure.
Adapters and Voltage
Purchase a universal adapter compatible with European plugs. Verify your electronics support France's 230V electrical system. Most modern devices are multi-voltage; check your owner's manual for compatibility.
Cash and Cards
Budget for public transportation, meals, drinks, shopping, and tips. Carry some cash for splitting bills and smaller purchases. Notify your bank and credit card company of your travel dates. ATMs are widely available, but daily withdrawal limits and fees may apply. Ensure you know your PIN for both debit and credit cards. Credit cards are accepted throughout Paris but check for foreign transaction fees. When paying, opt for local currency to avoid unfavorable exchange rates.
Currency
France uses the Euro (EUR).
Tipping
Tipping is not mandatory in France but appreciated for exceptional service. A tip of 5–10% is customary in restaurants if service exceeds expectations. For your SueQ Travel tour guide, a gratuity of $8–$10 per day for outstanding service is suggested but entirely optional.
Payment Information:
25% down payment due at the time of booking
Final payment due 90 days before travel.
Monthly payments can be set up.
If you have signed up for the trip and it is confirmed (meaning, we have the minimum number of travelers to go), you will be responsible for the entire tour amount even if you cancel.
This is part of the reason why travel insurance is so highly recommended!
Please refer to our terms and conditions for additional details.
