Our rating: 3 stars
Reservation required: I think so
Dress code: Dressy casual
Price:
Overpriced for what you get. We paid a total of $176 for the three of us.
Service:
The service was great. No complaints there.
Food:
Josh enjoyed his food. I did not enjoy any of the food.
Josh had a beer from Charleston called Cervesa de Malagon which was very good - $8
For starters we had:
Shrimp salad $20
Josh enjoyed it
Endive & orange salad $19
Definitely not worth it. It was terrible.
For the entree we had:
Snapper dish $38
Gnocchi (which was literally just noodles and pesto, mozzarella, and tomatoes) $28 It was fine, but I could have made it at home for $2 and the tomatoes were very overpowering.
Atmosphere:
This is the one thing keeping this from a 2 star rating. We LOVED the secret, tucked away location. It’s in the northern part of Charleston and it must be a very old house or something because it had such history to it. The seating is tight but not uncomfortable. It’s romantic but also can be family friendly.
I just wish it had good food.
