Our rating: 3.5 stars
Reservation required: Yes
Dress code: Business casual - everyone was wearing collared shirts and nice pants or dresses.
Price:
A bit pricey
For 3 people, we had bottled water, an entree, one side dish to share, and dessert for each of us, and it was over $250
Service:
For the caliber of restaurant, one would expect more attentive service. Our waiter was not great; however, we saw other great waiters working.
Food:
The food was delicious.
The portion sizes were good and filling. We couldn’t finish our desserts because we were all so full.
For dinner we had:
Filet mignon (one of the least expensive options on the menu)
We got ours done medium well and they went a bit heavy on the “well” The sides were a bit crunchy and it didn’t melt in your mouth like I’ve had at previous restaurants
Shrimp & grits (best shrimp & grits Josh has had)
The shrimp are large and fresh
The grits are thick and it’s a cream base with bacon
A side of jumbo mushrooms
For dessert we had:
Creme brulee - our rating: 10/10
Beautifully decorated, so smooth - perfection
New York cheesecake - our rating: 6/10
Pretty heavy, not as light and fluffy as I’ve had in NY
Chocolate mousse cake - our rating: 8/10
Very light texture, but quite dark chocolate
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere was great. Get there early and go to the rooftop to enjoy some drinks and cool views of the harbor.
The rooftop bar was awesome. We would go there any time.
They have other menu items than what’s available down in the restaurant.
This is weird but the bathrooms are next level. They’re part of the hotel and they’re just real nice.
