Price:
We felt like the price didn’t quite match the atmosphere. It was expensive for what it was. For the three of us, we had water, a beer, and a sweet tea, two adult entrees, a kid’s meal, two side dishes, coffee, and two desserts and we spent ~$250 for the three of us.
Service:
Fantastic! Our waiter was incredibly attentive. Our drinks were never low and the food came out in perfectly timed increments.
Food:
Good, but not excellent for the price.
For Dinner:
Josh had the special of the night which was filet mignon with scallops. The filet mignon on the menu was around $45 so we didn’t think to ask the price of the special. It was $80! All they did was add two scallops! It didn’t make sense.
I had filet mignon, cooked medium, but when I got it - it was still practically mooing. It wasn’t the best I’ve had. It didn’t really “melt in your mouth” like a great filet usually does. It was a bit tough to cut.
Aden had a kid’s cheeseburger which came with fries. It was delicious and filling for him.For the sides we had brussel sprouts and potatoes. Both were fantastic. I’d recommend both of those.
For dessert:
We shared a piece of chocolate cake and Aden got ice cream. I had decaf coffee - which was fabulous.
Atmosphere:
This is where we have the hardest time with Charleston restaurants. The atmosphere doesn’t usually match the expense.
The service was fantastic, they brushed off our table, served us our side dishes, continually cleaned our table, but there was a guy playing live 90s hits on his guitar in the other room and it was quite loud in general.
For spending as much as we did and for the quality of the service, we were really surprised at how lacking the “fancy” atmosphere was in all other areas.
