Charleston Restaurants: Revival

Our rating: 2 stars

Reservation required: Highly recommend

Dress code: Business casual

Price:

  • Overpriced for the lack of quality and horrible flavor combinations

  • For 3 people, we had water, one lemonade, a coffee, an entree each, and two desserts for around $175 with tip included.

Service:

  • Our waitress was very nice, but not attentive. She checked on us one time after we received our food.

  • Service was slow to bring the courses out, but quick to remove plates and refill water.

Food:

  • Very unique flavors and not in a good way. Things were burnt, sour, bitter, too sweet, meat was fatty, duck had a large bone in it.

  • The only good thing was that they offered a kid’s menu.

  • Overall, incredibly disappointing. There is nothing we’d recommend from the menu.

Atmosphere:

  • Interesting. It was like a modern play on the old building, lots of art on the walls, music was a bit loud for the small space.

  • It was very cold in the restaurant. If you go, take a sweater.

  • There was a gnat flying around to begin with and then a spider was crawling up my son’s shirt.
